Government will fund your travel expenses if you do this
New Delhi: In order to encourage travel enthusiasts to explore India, the tourism ministry launched ‘Dekho Mera Desh’ campaign in January. The announcement was made during the National Tourism Conference held in Odisha. Under this campaign, the Tourism ministry will refund the travel expenses if a person travels to at least 15 Indian destinations by 2022.
In order to get the refund, you will have to submit pictures of your visit on the ministry of tourism website. In order for the trips to be eligible, you must travel outside the home state. The government will also offer certificate courses for people who opt for travelling as a profession.
Union Minister Prahlad Singh Patel said at the launch, “Tourism Ministry will fund the travel expenses of tourists who visit 15 destinations in the country in a year and submit the photos to our website. However, the condition is that the person should travel out of his/her own state.” The Ministry of Tourism intends to reward those who complete the task within a year.
Here’s how you can take a pledge in “Dekho Apna Desh” campaign:
Step 1: Visit pledge.mygov.in
Step 2: Select language -Hindi/ English
Step 3: Take a pledge
Step 4: A certificate will be given via mobile text or e-mail
It is worth mentioning that there is also a Dekho Apna Desh pledge. The MyGov website says, “In order to encourage citizens to take the “Dekho Apna Desh” pledge, the Ministry of Tourism is pleased to announce prizes wherein 50 users would be picked up randomly through the system out of every 10,000 citizens who take the pledge will be presented with token merchandise branded with Incredible India.” The citizens who have taken the pledge would be selected randomly through the system.
