How to check PM Kisan scheme money and balance: A step-by-step guide

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, popularly known as the PM-Kisan Yojana is a scheme that is meant to benefit the farmers in the country. And, in a bid to provide relief to the country’s farmers who fall under the beneficiary list of the PM-Kisan Yojana, the Government of India during the coronavirus lockdown period has released Rs 17,793 crores from March 24, 2020, till date. According to the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare release on April 20 evening, the move will help around 8.89 crore farmer families.

The statement also mentioned that in order to provide food security during the prevailing crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the government decided to distribute pulses to the eligible households under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana. The distribution of pulses will benefit around 19.50 crore household spread across 36 States and Union territories.

Also, more than Rs 36,659 crore has been transferred by using Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) through Public Financial Management System (PFMS) in the Bank accounts of 16.01 crore beneficiaries during the COVID-19 lockdown by the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) office.

The PM-Kisan Yojana benefits the Indian farmers by giving them Rs 6,000 financial aid for the purchase of seeds, fertilisers and pesticides. The payment is released as per the details on the official website of the scheme.

STEP 1 Go to the official website of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme – pmkisan.gov.in

STEP 2 Tap on ‘Farmer Corner’ section and you will find a drop down menu

STEP 3 Select the Beneficiary list option. In this list, you will find the status of your application for the PM-Kisan scheme

STEP 4 You will need to choose the name of your state, district, sub-dictrict, block and village from the drop down menu

STEP 5 After this, click on the Get Report section for checking the list of your villageSTEP 6In this list, choose your name from the given alphabetical list to know the status of your financial aid
