Indian passport becomes more safe, new security features added
Some new security features have been added to the Indian Passport and one of them also has a lotus sign. After the question raised by the opposition in the Lok Sabha to print the lotus mark on the new passport, the Foreign Ministry has given an explanation about it. The ministry said that it is part of the features to detect fake passports and strengthen security. It is also said that other national symbols will also be used in turn on Indian passports.
Let me tell you that on Wednesday, Congress member MK Raghavan had raised the issue of lotus sign on the new passport to be distributed in Kozhikode, Kerala and said that a newspaper has published this news. He had alleged that this is a further saffronisation of government organizations with the BJP’s election symbol Kamal.
New features part of ISO guidelines
In this regard, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar has said, “This mark is our national flower and it is part of the better security features brought for the detection of fake passports”. Part of the guidelines of the Aviation Organization (ICAO). Apart from lotus, in turn other national symbols will also be used on passports. Lotus was used now. There will be something else next month. These symbols are associated with India, such as the national flower or national animal.
