Jio GigaFiber effect: ACT Fibernet giving 100GB free data and free Amazon Fire TV Stick with these plans
ACT Fibernet, also known as Atria Convergence Technologies recently went through a brand revision and bought about changes in its brand logo and vision for the upcoming year. Going with the same, ACT Fibernet has started providing 100GB of free high-speed data to its broadband subscribers. The popular Internet Service Provider (ISP) is already operating in full swing in 16 Indian cities across the country. ACT Fibernet, in an event at Delhi, had mentioned that there will be a lot of exciting things which will happen in the next 6-12 months. Starting off, ACT Fibernet has started providing free data to their subscribers across India. ACT users can check right now if their account has been credited with 100GB of data benefit on the ACT Fibernet mobile app.
The additional free 100GB data offer is valid for all subscribers across the country where ACT Fibernet is operational. For example, a user in Hyderabad using the Rs. 1,050 ACT Fibernet plan will be getting data benefits of 750GB in a month. After the offer, the monthly data benefit will be increased to 850GB. Also, users in Bengaluru, Chennai, ACT Fibernet is providing an additional 300GB of data per month. Coupled with the data offer, the monthly data benefit now stands at 400GB.
However, it is not known if ACT Fibernet will be offering the free data benefit for just a month, or if the offer stands for more than just one month. Delhi customers can also avail 1TB for five months on similar long term plans. One thing to note here is – ACT Fibernet plans for 6 months get the user one month of free subscription while the ones with a 12-month plan with getting the user 2 months of free subscription. The installation and Wi-Fi router will be provided by ACT at no extra charge. Also, ACT Fibernet has been offering additional data offers which will expire on February 28, 2019, but could extend those offers for another six months. ACT has also been shipping some form of media streaming device with its yearly and half-yearly plans. It had offered the Google Home mini speaker at first, and starting recently, ACT has started to ship the Amazon Fire TV Stick with the plans.
The plans eligible for this offer are – ACT Storm, ACT Incredible (Bengaluru), ACT Sprint, ACT Bolt (Coimbatore), ACT Silver Pro and ACT Platinum Promo (Delhi). All these data plans provide internet speeds of up to 150MBps. However, ACT Fibernet 1GBps plans are not yet eligible for the offer in any of the aforementioned cities.
The latest offer from ACT Fibernet comes at a time when Jio GigaFiber is all set to launch in India. The rollout of Jio GigaFiber will start in the coming days and is based on how many people are interested in a locality. There will be a Jio GigaFiber Preview Offer which allows users to free 100GB of data at 100MBps every month. However, users will need to pay Rs. 4,500 for the ONT device which will work as a router and also as a set-top box for other Jio GigaFiber services.
