Jio offers 100GB free data and Rs 2,200 cashback for Redmi Go: How you can avail it
Xiaomi has once again created waves in the mobile phone industry with the Redmi Go – an extremely affordable smartphone for less than Rs 5,000. The Redmi Go is meant to appeal to first-time smartphone buyers as well as those looking to upgrade from a feature phone. The Redmi Go relies on Google’s Android Go platform to offer a smooth and optimised Android experience on its low-end hardware. The Redmi Go went on sale today and if you have ordered one for yourself, Jio has an interesting offer for you.
Reliance Jio is offering Redmi Go users massive benefits in terms of data and cashback. As soon as a Redmi Go customer uses it on a Jio connection, he/she will be entitled to gain up to 100GB of additional data and cashback of up to Rs 2,200. However, the offer will only be applicable if the user opts for either the Rs 198 pack or Rs 299 pack.
When it comes to the cashback, Jio is offering a total of 100GB of additional data. However, not all of the 100GB data can be redeemed at a time. Users get ten 10GB coupons which can be availed upon subsequent recharges. The validity of the additional data is still unknown but given that both the valid plans of Rs 198 and Rs 299 offer 28 days validity, the coupons could be availed within a year from the date of the first recharge.
For the Rs 2,200 cashback, the Jio will be giving 44 discount coupons worth Rs 50 each. The coupon’s benefits can be availed while shopping from the Ajio app. Jio says that these vouchers can also be redeemed for subsequent eligible recharges of Rs 198 and Rs 299 only. With the use of cashback voucher in subsequent recharge, Rs 198 recharge will be available for Rs 148 only. Simultaneously users can enjoy the Rs 299 recharge for effectively Rs 249 only.
With these plans, Redmi Go users can enjoy a lot of benefits from Jio. Those who like to stream video or movies and require more data will find the 10GB data vouchers favourable. The cashback vouchers can also be availed to get discounts on the recharge packs.
The Redmi Go is a lightly pricey alternative to Reliance’s own JioPhone 2. The Redmi Go joins the likes of Nokia 1 and Micromax Bharat Go as some of the cheapest Android smartphones present in the market. The Redmi Go uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset and comes equipped with 1GB RAM as well as 8GB storage. There’s also a 16GB variant of the same. It comes with a 5-inch HD display and has an 8-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel selfie camera. A 3000mAh battery power the phone.
