JioFiber Preview Offer Ends! No More Free Internet Service

At the time of announcing the JioFiber broadband service, Reliance Jio stated that there will be two months of free service under the Preview Offer. Now, the JioFiber Preview Offer has ended and subscribers are prompted to choose a paid plan to use the services. This applies to both existing users who were enjoying the free service and new users.

For the uninitiated, the JioFiber Preview Offer provided 1.1TB FUP every month at 100 Mbps speed without any additional cost. Even after the launch of the service, the existing users were enjoying the service for free for two months. And, only the new users had to pay for the service starting from Rs. 699 per month.

JioFiber Plans And Tariffs
As the Preview Offer providing two months of free service has come to an end, new subscribers interested in trying the JioFiber internet service have to choose between one of the prepaid plans launched by the company back in September.

To avail the service, new customers have to shell out Rs. 2,500, which is a one-time cost. Of this, Rs. 1,000 goes towards installation and is non-refundable and the other Rs. 1,500 will be refunded when customers wish to disconnect the service. On paying Rs. 2,500, new JioFiber users will get a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi router and an ONT box.

Reports suggest that Reliance Jio is offering users who were enjoying the JioFiber Preview Offer. Firstly, there is an option to subscribe to a paid plan. And, the second option is to disconnect the service and get the partial refund amount.

Here’s What We Think
While some users are migrating to the paid service, some others are said to be disconnecting the service. And, there are expectations that Reliance Jio might come up with new JioFiber broadband plans soon.

While new plans seem to be doubtful, we can expect the company to announce a partnership with OTT service providers that will benefit the subscribers. It is all set to partner with OTT apps such as Hotstar, Voot, etc. to provide more benefits and make it appealing for new JioFiber customers.
