PlayStation 5 might go on sale in India from mid-Jan, pre-orders by December end
There might finally be some good news for the PlayStation 5 (PS5) fans in India. According to reports, Sony might finally start selling its newest console in the country by the middle of January. The Mako Reactor has reported that Sony might start taking pre-orders for the PS5 by the end of this month.
However, the report adds that the stocks for the PS5 might not be very good and if you are looking to buy the console offline, it might be a tough task.
Sony Centres across India have reportedly stated that they expect to start taking pre-orders by the end of December and the first stocks of the console are going to hit the shelves by middle of next month. As per the report, some stores have already begun taking pre-order payments. However, Sony is yet to make an official announcement in this case.
The report also adds that the initial stocks of the PS5 will be limited to metro cities only so if you don’t live in one of those, you might have to wait longer to be able to get your hands on the console.
Also, if you were looking to buy the PS5 Digital Edition, your wait might be longer still and Sony is witnessing lower demands for this non-disc model.
Sony has been struggling with PS5 stocks globally with the console being sold out at most places. While this is not a new phenomenon for Sony and its track record with consoles, the pandemic has made things worse this year for supplies and stocks.
So, if you are looking to secure a PS5 for yourself, we suggest you pre-book one as soon as the pre-bookings are open.
