Vodafone Idea offers customer care, number requests via WhatsApp
NEW DELHI: In an industry-first, telecom operator Vodafone Idea today launched VIC, an AI-powered virtual assistant and digital customer service for its customers, which is live on the Websites, My Vodafone and My Idea Apps, and WhatsApp.
The virtual assistant has been developed by Oriserve in partnership with Vodafone Idea
The operator said through the initiative it aims to simplify access for customers to get their queries, and service related requirements addressed at their convenience.
VIC allows Vodafone Idea customers to get instant response on a range of service-related requirements,including–bill payments. VAS, plan activation, new connection, data balance, bill requests and much more.
Vodafone Idea VIC Virtual Assistant can be accessed 24×7, providing seamless service addressal and uniform customer experience for both Vodafone and Idea customers.
Vodafone Idea users will receive a link via SMS to initiate a conversation using VIC on WhatsApp. Alternatively, customers can simply click on the links or send a message on the numbers below, to access the service.
Vishant Vora, Chief Technology Officer, Vodafone Idea said VIL is committed to provide enhanced experiences through digital platform, which is inline with VIL’s ‘Digital First Approach’.
“VIC, an AI powered intelligent customer service platform, developed by our technology partner, Oriserve, is an industry first initiative and has huge relevance especially at a time when customers are house-bound,” said Vora in a statement.
